Using the Student View Tool in Blackboard
The Student View building block provides a pure student view of the course to any instructor.
To view your course as a student, complete the following steps:
- On the Control Panel, expand Course Tools and select Student View.
- The screen will refresh.
- You are now logged into your course as the Demo Student. You can do everything that a student would, including viewing content and taking assessments.
Using this feature will enroll a demo student in your course that will show up in the Grade Center. The demo students name will be "Demo Student," its username will be similar to this example: bb_demo_749001
To return to the Teacher View:
- On the Course Menu, click Return To Teacher View
- The screen will refresh.
- You are now back to being you, logged into your course as an Instructor.
