J-Session and Spring Term (2172) Course Posting in Blackboard Learn

To prepare for the next term or semester, we need the assistance of faculty members identified as lead faculty (i.e., those responsible for Template course shells). Once they review and verify that content of Template course shells is correct, then these Template course shells will be used as templates and will have their content copied into corresponding running semester class sections.

If you would like additional information about this process, please view the following video segment:

Once this course copying process is complete, any changes / updates to content in the running semester class sections will need to be made by either the faculty member teaching the class or the learning department. Learning Solutions and Talent Development are available to assist with any technical issues or training needs.

Template Shell Update and Course Posting Schedule(as listed on the College Planning Calendar):

  • Monday, December 5, 2016:  All Course Template Shell Updates Complete
  • Tuesday, December 6, 2016:  Semester Course Posting Process Begins for all Delivery Modes (including any late start classes posted in PeopleSoft). Content copied for ALL courses that have approved Templates.  Courses without arrpoved Template will be blank.
  • Friday, December 9, 2016:  Courses Posted, Merged, Enrollments Complete (courses available to Faculty when assigned in PeopleSoft)

Please note that at this time, courses will only be available to faculty members who have already been assigned to classes in PeopleSoft.
