How do I add a banner graphic to my course?
Adding a Banner Image to Your Class
Pictures or graphics can attract attention to your course material and also act as an identifier to your students. Banner graphics are a great way to add a visual enhancement to your class.
Save your image file in the location of your course materials (desktop, my documents, H: drive). A general guideline for your image size and format is to make the image a maximum of 500 pixels wide by 200 pixels high. Resolution of 150 pixels or less is sufficient, and a file format of either a .jpg or .png.
To add a banner image to your class, complete the following steps :
- Go to Course Management within the Side Navigation Menu.
- Go to Control Panel > Customization > select Teaching Style.
Instructors manage the style of the Course Menu and other page elements from the Style page.
- Scroll to Step 4 Select Banner.
- Click Browse My Computer.
- Navigate to your image file and select.
- Click Submit.
Your banner appears on your course-landing page, click the course title on the breadcrumb trail or click on the announcements button to view your banner.
