Student Preview: Experience your course exactly as your students do
You want to be confident that your course is well designed and functions as intended—before your students see it. Student Preview enables you to view and experience your course just as your students do. This is particularly useful for confirming behaviors such as time/date availability, adaptive release criteria, grade weighting, and other class behaviors that control what a student sees in the class or require some particular interaction from the student to be triggered.
Take the Challenge
  • After building your course, go through each segment as if you were a student, evaluating course content, navigation, and activities using the Blackboard Exemplary Course Rubric.
  • Check Adaptive Release settings to ensure they are functioning as expected.
  • Take a test, submit an assignment, or create a discussion post to validate a student report about a specific element of your course -- or to provide them with better guidance on course navigation.
  • Access My Grades to confirm which columns are visible to students and see how grades and feedback are accessed for review.
What is it?
A feature that allows you to review your course content as your students will interact with it and validate course behaviors, such as the availability of content or adaptive release.

Why is it important?
It enables you to confirm that your course is well designed and functions as intended — before your students see it.
